Welcome to Lawride ("we", "us", "our" or "Lawride"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Lawride website, mobile application, and services (collectively, the "Platform") provided by Lawride Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
1. Use of the Platform
Lawride is an online intermediary platform that connects users ("You" / "Client") seeking legal advice, consultation, compliance services, document drafting, or representation with independent, verified advocates and legal professionals ("Lawyers" / "Service Providers").
The Platform does not provide legal advice itself. All legal services are rendered directly by the Lawyers. Lawride acts solely as a technology facilitator and is not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or outcome of any legal service provided by Lawyers.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally competent to enter into contracts under Indian law to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
3. User Accounts and Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and consultation booking.
- You shall not use the Platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- You agree not to impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
4. Consultations and Payments
Consultations may be conducted via audio, video, chat, or in-person (where available). Fees for consultations and services are displayed on the Platform and are payable in advance or as specified.
All payments are processed through secure third-party payment gateways. Lawride may charge a platform convenience fee/service charge in addition to the Lawyer's fee.
Cancellation and refund policies are as displayed at the time of booking. Refunds (if applicable) are processed within 7–10 business days.
5. No Attorney-Client Relationship
No attorney-client relationship is formed between you and Lawride. Any attorney-client relationship is formed solely between you and the Lawyer you choose to engage through the Platform.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lawride shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform or services obtained through it.
Lawride is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the acts, omissions, advice, or services of any Lawyer.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Lawride or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, the Platform, or us.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Ludhiana, Punjab.
11. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
